Decompression

Penny sent me the link to the Province of B.C.'s Workplace Training for Innovation Pilot Program. Looks like both small businesses and not-for-profits may be eligible for funding.

Jan also posted a comment on last week's entry wishing everyone in class a Merry Christmas. I would like to echo her good wishes, and add what a great deal of fun this class has been. I look forward to working with many of you again in future classes. Marketing, anyone...?

Week Twelve Homework

The final exam:
Case 7.3 - The Greek Cosmobob
The exam will be hand-written on a 12-page booklet. Copies of the case will be provided.

We can bring both a SWOT and PEST analysis of the Cosmobob to class next week to use as reference for the exam questions, each on a separate sheet of paper. You can also perform a 5 Force analysis on a third sheet if you have time. Perform these analyses against Chapter 7's Section 3 Internal Analysis: Finance; Marketing; Production/Operations; Human Resources along with Strategy and Information Technology.

Bring a calculator with your pen and pencils, the financials at the end of the case will be a practical application of Chapter 3 - Financial Management. We will probably need to remember some of the terms regarding organizational structure and leadership traits from Chapter 4 - Human Resources. Also review demographic profiles on pages 248 and 249.

Please post a comment if I missed any of Ken's directions.

Good Luck!
